Dental Veneers

Veneers can make you feel great and smile with confidence; they are a versatile cosmetic dentistry option. Whether you have a chipped tooth, or discoloured tooth, veneers can help restore the look and function of your teeth.

A dental veneer is a very thin shell of tooth coloured porcelain or composite that is bonded to the frontal surface of your teeth to correct dental issues, for example spacing, worn teeth, mild tooth misalignment

The most natural looking and long lasting veneers are made from porcelain, although composite materials (same material used for white fillings) are more economical.

PORCELAIN veneers are made of a high quality durable ceramic, these veneers can be individually customized for your teeth, achieving the best fit and appearance. Porcelain veneers often require minimal tooth preparation, preserving the majority of your natural tooth structure, while achieving a long lasting cosmetic smile rejuvenation.

CEREC veneers: this state of the art system allows your cosmetic dentist at Elanora dentistry to scan your prepared teeth with a 3D camera, then creates a digital model of your teeth using special software, where your restoration are designed and created using an in office milling unit. Using this technology enables your dentist to restore your teeth at the same day without needing temporary restorations.

COMPOSITE veneers can be considered in situations where the aim is to improve appearance of the teeth rather than to fix a damaged tooth structure. These lower cost veneers can fit comfortably within your budget, although they could be more prone to chipping than porcelain and may not last as long as traditional porcelain veneers due to the difference between the strength of both materials

Dental veneers can solve most of your cosmetic needs, for example,

  • Wear and tear: our teeth naturally wear down as we age, this will lead to little chips, and fractures which make the teeth look uneven. Veneers can help your teeth look youthful again.
  • Discoloured teeth: in certain situations discoloured teeth will not benefit much from teeth whitening; therefore veneers can be the treatment of choice.
  • Spaced or mildly misaligned teeth: spacing can be caused by genetically small teeth with a relatively wider arch, this can increase with age.
